PACKAGING AND LABELS

DGM offers the full package of services to airlines, to freight agents, distributors and to shippers, on a neutral basis, and ... cuts all necessary paperwork to go with each shipment.
Before any hazardous goods are tendered for transport, these must be packed in accordance with the applicable packing instructions, which stipulate the use of UN tested and approved packing material. DGM is well stocked with UN tested packing materials, in all shapes and forms including tested drums, crates, fibre boxes, crates and cans in all sizes, and any special packing, suitable to safely move hazardous goods with the necessary absorbent materials.
Under severe conditions, a special Governmental exemption can be authorised and issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, to fly hazardous goods which are shown as “forbidden” for transport by air. Such exemptions are based on the ICAO TI (UN ICAO Technical Instructions), which override the IATA rules. DGM can mediate in arranging the application and registration for consignments which are to be moved under exemption, and co-ordinates between the Principal, the Air Carrier and the CAA, so to ensure that all specified conditions are properly met.
